NJ Chapter of Asset Funders Network: Shared Ownership, Baby Bonds & Guaranteed Income

Focused on how to address wealth building, housing gaps and income solutions the New Jersey AFN chapter has been working to identify strategic grantmaking priorities. Together our small cohort of New Jersey funders has been exploring innovations and best practices regionally and locally, including state policy priorities.

Join us for this virtual meeting where we will hear updates from key partners at this virtual meeting including:

Adria Scharf, Director, Institute for the Study of Employee Ownership and Profit Sharing will share insights from her forthcoming study of Newark business owners.
Yaw Owusu-Boahen, Director Connecticut Wealth Accelerator will share specific design choices and learnings from Connecticut’s accelerated Baby Bonds model and lessons for others considering this model in other states.
David Radcliffe, State and Local Policy Director, Institute on Race, Power, and Political Economy will share insights from the National Baby Bonds Community of Practice and the Superbundle model in Vermont integrated GI, Baby Bonds, and Diaper access for families.
Harbani Ahuja, Senior Council, Economic Justice. New Jersey Institute for Social Justice will help share updates from New Jersey efforts for Baby Bonds in the state.

The intended audience are AFN members, Funders, including any and all CNJG members, and other AFN invited community partners with a focus on New Jersey.
