Philanthropy Benefits and Salary Survey
CNJG is pleased to release our 2026 New Jersey Philanthropy Benefits & Salary Summary Report!
This report, released every three years, is the result of two different surveys that collected data from philanthropic organizations: the first, CNJG’s 2026 Benefits Survey, was conducted over the summer of 2026 and asked philanthropy from across New Jersey about the benefits they offer their staff and/or board, as well as collecting demographic information from those organizations. The second survey is the Council on Foundations’ 2026 Grantmaker Salary & Benefits Survey, conducted nationally in the spring of 2026. This annual survey collects salary data on dozens of different positions in philanthropy across the country. CNJG has partnered with the Council on Foundations to share their data in our Summary Report.
CNJG thanks the organizations who completed either (or both!) our survey and the Council on Foundations. We always appreciate more responses as that only creates a stronger data set. Please carve out time each spring to complete the CoF salary survey, and in the summer of 2029, allow for extra time to complete CNJG’s next Benefits survey!
The 2026 New Jersey Philanthropy Benefits & Salary Summary Report is a member benefit of CNJG, and access to download the report is limited to only CNJG members. In addition, as recompense for their time contributing data and information to the report, any non-member who completed the survey will receive a copy of the report by email.
