CNJG is pleased to share this program presented by the Technology Association of Grantmakers to our members.

Twenty years ago, common grant applications were routinely developed by regional funder associations in the U.S (including one created by CNJG and Philanthropy New York) . While many such grant forms are sorely out-of-date, demand for commonality continues to grow. Now, regional grantmaking organizations are answering the call in highly concrete and inclusive ways.

In this session, you'll hear how Philanthropy Massachusetts and Minnesota Council on Foundations have worked over the past year to develop a fresh concept for common grant applications, aligning across their respective memberships. Each organization will share their approach to this work including:

  • Their process and motivation
  • How nonprofits are actively involved
  • How their work aligns with efforts such as Demographics via Candid, the Philanthropy Data Commons (PDC), and Trust-Based Philanthropy
  • Concrete outcomes to date

Come with questions and your ideas for how we can all continue working toward a common grant application.
